Privacy Policy
HeartReady · Effective July 2, 2026
Summary: HeartReady keeps your health data on your device and in your own private iCloud account. It has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party trackers. The developer never collects, transmits, sells, or sees your data. On the App Store, HeartReady is labeled “Data Not Collected.”
Who we are
HeartReady (“the app”) is published by Matthew Herson (“we,” “us”). You can reach us at matt@hersongo.com. This policy explains what data the app handles and how.
What data the app handles
You can enter and store the following in HeartReady:
- Blood pressure readings (systolic, diastolic, pulse), dates, and context tags
- Medications, dosages, schedules, and whether doses were taken
- Profile details you choose to add: name, date of birth, sex, weight, height, target blood pressure goals
- Optional doctor and emergency contact names and phone numbers you enter yourself
This information is health-related and personal to you. We treat it as sensitive and never collect it.
Where your data lives
All of the above is stored locally on your device. If you are signed into iCloud and leave it enabled, the app also syncs your data through your own private Apple iCloud account (CloudKit private database) so it stays current across your devices, and can create an iCloud Drive backup. This data is controlled by you and governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. We have no access to your iCloud data.
Apple Health
With your explicit permission, HeartReady can save the blood pressure readings you log into Apple Health (HealthKit). HeartReady only writes to Apple Health — it does not read or import any data from Apple Health. This happens only on your device, under your control. We do not receive any HealthKit data, and HeartReady never uses Health data for advertising or shares it with third parties. You can turn this on or off in the app under Settings → Apple Health, and you can revoke access at any time in the Health app under Sharing, or in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health.
What we do not do
- We do not collect or transmit your data to our servers — we have none.
- We do not use analytics, crash-tracking SDKs, or advertising.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with anyone.
- There is no login, account, or profile stored with us.
Notifications
If you enable reminders, HeartReady schedules local notifications on your device to prompt you to take a reading. These are generated on the device and are not sent through us.
Security
You can require Face ID or Touch ID to open the app. Your data is protected by your device’s encryption and, when synced, by Apple’s iCloud security. Because the data never leaves your device and iCloud, there is no server-side database to breach.
Data retention & deletion
Your data stays until you delete it. You can delete individual readings, or use Settings → “Delete All Readings” to remove everything. Deleting the app removes its local data; data in your iCloud is removed per Apple’s iCloud controls.
Children
HeartReady is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and revise the effective date above.
