FAQ

How do I log a blood pressure reading?

Open the Log tab, set your systolic, diastolic, and pulse with the wheel pickers, optionally add a context tag and whether you took your meds, then tap Save Reading. Your reading appears instantly in History with its AHA category.

What do the colors and categories mean?

HeartReady classifies each reading using the standard American Heart Association ranges — Normal, Elevated, High Stage 1, and High Stage 2 — each with its own color. These are for general information only and are not a diagnosis.

How do I export a report for my doctor?

Go to Settings → Export PDF for Doctor to generate a clean PDF you can print or email. You can also Export as CSV for your own records.

Does it work with Apple Health?

Yes. With your permission, HeartReady saves the blood pressure readings you log to Apple Health. It only writes to Apple Health — it doesn't read or import your Health data. Turn it on in Settings → Apple Health, then grant access when prompted. You can change permissions anytime in the Health app.

How does syncing and backup work?

If you're signed into iCloud, your data syncs automatically across your devices through your private iCloud account. You can also create and restore an iCloud Drive backup from Settings.

Can I protect the app with Face ID?

Yes. In Settings → Security, turn on App Lock to require Face ID or Touch ID every time you open HeartReady.

How do I set up reminders?

In Settings → Reminders, enable reminders and add one or more times of day. HeartReady sends a local notification to prompt you to take a reading.

How do I delete my data?

Swipe to delete an individual reading in History, or use Settings → Delete All Readings to remove everything. Deleting the app also removes its on-device data.

Is my data private?

Yes. Your data stays on your device and in your own private iCloud. There are no accounts, no analytics, and no ads. See the Privacy Policy for full details.

HeartReady does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment and is not a medical device. Always consult your doctor about your blood pressure and before changing your care.
